![]() Without aim assist in game, my controller may offer it. The bigger point that I was trying to make is that neither choice has an impact on me if I am choosing to cheat. Because in any other game that has AA turned on for consoles I still dominate them on KB/M so yea, it makes no real sense. So now you got me thinking, having AA disabled really makes no sense, except the fangirl streamers told them to disable it so they did. Been gaming on PC since 1992 so trying to use a controller just feels really weird and I can control the recoil perfectly fine with the controller, even tho I can't use a controller at all. I can't aim or shoot with a controller anymore, just doesn't feel natural at all holding one. I do have a controller plugged into my PC and just went to shooting range and the recoil isn't bad on here at all. So having AA disabled it actually makes them have to learn to aim to use their no-recoil.īUT, After thinking about it tho. But for the ones using said controllers a lot of them don't use the "enhanced" aim assist, just no-recoil configs. THey listened to their TOP fangirl streamers who disliked aim assist, so like good puppets they are, they pleased their masters and took it out. Instead, it tempts the rest of the player base to cheat just so they can use their preferred method of input.Īpex has a HUGE problem with cheaters, but this is blizzard we're talking about. This policy of ignorance won't stop one person from cheating. It's self sabotaging, and helping those "bad actors" to destroy the game. The reason I can't use a keyboard and mouse on my console to play against other players using a keyboard and mouse is because some players cheat and use an XIM or Cronus to use a keyboard and mouse while playing against controller users. It punishes legitimate players, while having absolutely zero impact on the "bad actors". Having no aim assist for controllers in PC lobbies, and not allowing console players to play in PC lobbies, using keyboard and mouse, is not punishing the cheaters. Their controllers and programs have built in aim assist on top of other cheating methods. If those same players are in Overwatch, it doesn't matter that there's no aim assist. That means Apex has a problem with cheating. If most of the players are using strike pack and Zen controllers with no recoil, that has zero to do with aim assist. It's on the same level as saying "consoles shouldn't have keyboard and mouse support, and the game doing input based match making."
